Helping underprivileged people become
self-sustainable is a key focus of our work. With
the proper tools and resources, they can develop
their skills and knowledge to improve their quality
of life and become self-sufficient. Through our
Financial Development and Job Training Program, we
are helping people do just that. With vocational
training and financial support for small business
ventures, we are helping youth and adults develop
their skills and build businesses to raise their
income and increase their well-being.
Vocational Training
Many people from India’s poor class lack a basic
primary education and are often stuck in low paying,
labor intensive jobs. With our vocational training
programs, we are helping youth and adults develop
the skills and knowledge for gaining the experience
to find employment or starting a small business
venture on their own. We offer a variety of training
programs like:
Microfinance Lending
Through our Microfinance Lending Program, we are
providing poor families with small loans to help
them start and build “micro” enterprises, very small
businesses that are important sources of employment,
income, and economic vitality in developing
countries worldwide. The program is designed to help
the working poor who are dependent on
self-employment ventures for survival, such as
street vendors like shoe fixing, small tea shops and
handicrafts. With little financial capital and
knowledge, the poor have little opportunity to grow
their microenterprises into successful businesses
that can help them escape poverty.
With a small loan, we are helping people develop
their business into a more permanent and dependable
source of revenue. With financial assistance and
technical knowledge, we are helping them expand
their business to produce a sustainable income to
care for their family.
